Building lasting relationships.
Specialty industrial projects have been a part of our company from the beginning. Manufacturing plants, office/warehouse complexes, structural renovations and repair, foundations for specialty equipment and oil field services work are all projects we have successfully managed.
We’ve amassed a great deal of experience handling these kinds of construction projects. And along the way, our commitment to a personalized customer experience has led to some industrial-strength relationships.
WBK was selected by a repeat customer to help prevent an existing building from literally sliding down a hill. Originally completed in the boom days of the early 1980s, the building was not designed properly. The structural design was inadequate for the soil conditions on which it was built. Consequently, as the soil moved, the building did too.
Working closely with the architect and structural engineer, we drilled 80-foot slanted piers into bedrock and essentially created an on-grade buttress to stop the movement. We then stabilized the exterior walls, disassembled parts of the structure and moved the building back together. The building was reassembled, waterproofed and made ready for use. It remains in operation to this day.
